I present this oil on canvas dating from the 50s whose subject strangely resembles Barbara. If it is really her, I am unable to confirm that she played the guitar, or that it is a fantasy of the artist. Anyway, this portrait is beautifully made. The majority cold tones are enhanced by warm, muted tones. These colors intelligently highlight the relative sadness of the look. One feels there the night, the difficulty of the task, but also the assumption, chosen term of this existentialist period, by the dignity of the pose.
