Short biography

Jean Jannel was born in Paris on April 20, 1894. He was a pupil of Luc Olivier Merson at the National School of Fine Arts in Paris and exhibited at the Salons des Artistes Français and Salons des Indépendants.

Painter of the femininity, his wife was his exclusive model.

He was part of the Cercle des Peintres des Deux-Monts, located at 13 boulevard Malesherbes near the Church of the Madeleine in Paris, whose purpose was to offer a meeting place and exhibition space for artists from Montmartre and Montparnasse.
