Biography

Born on July 17, 1900 in Amiens, Roger Charles Halbique was a student of Jean-Paul Laurens at the Julian Academy then of Rochegrosse in Algiers. The general government of Algeria pays him a scholarship.

He made his first exhibition in Oran in 1928 with several landscapes of Morocco. He resided on this date in France then settles in Algiers. Between 1927 and 1945 he exhibited at the Salon des Artistes français. He participated in the Salons of Algerian Orientalists until 1953.

He died in 1977 in Nice.
